We kindly ask all of our Chiropractic New Patients to read this page before their first appointment in our Newry clinic. This will allow you to familiarise yourself with the procedures. Therefore, you will be able to enjoy your visit to us even more, knowing what to expect. If you’re still not sure, please contact us.
Step 1. Your New Patient Appointment
- We ask all new patients to arrive at your specified time slot. You will be asked to fill out an intake form upon your arrival.
The Doctor will review your new patient intake form and complete a detailed history, including your past medical history, any trauma or injuries. Please allow 30 minutes for this appointment.
Full Chiropractic Examination Includes:
- Digital postural analysis
- Visual analogue pain scale
- Range of motion testing
- Comprehensive neurological testing
- Detailed muscle strength testing
- Chiropractic static palpation
- Chiropractic dynamic motion palpation
The Chiropractor will then write up your case report and your posture will be sent for analysis.
Step 2. Your 2nd Appointment
The second appointment is called the Report of Findings visit. The chiropractor will discuss your case report and will show you the results of the digital postural analysis so you can better understand your diagnosis.
You will be given a care plan recommendation to follow and you will also receive your first Chiropractic Adjustment.
Step 4. Subsequent Chiropractic Adjustments
Regular adjustments focus on correcting the alignment and movement of the joints, specifically the spine. When your nervous system is free from interference the messages between your brain and the body will be clearer, allowing you to move and function at a higher level.
Our advanced chiropractors are trained to deliver safe and scientifically specific Chiropractic adjustments. Each adjustment is designed to build on the one before as your body starts to heal and repair.
